Best piece of advice you have ever been given:
Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
Favourite Endura product and why:
Endura Max is my favourite. Not only does it taste great but allows my muscles to recover faster and avoid muscle cramps.
How did you get into your chosen sport?
My family encouraged me to get involved. My father was involved with the sport when he was younger and my brother started at age five. I started young, at the age of four and had always wanted to join. I loved the idea of running and being at the beach.
How important is diet and sports nutrition supplements to your performance?
I believe diet is fuel for your body, the higher quality fuel you use, the better your body will perform. I eat all natural products, lots of fruit and vege, brown carbs, nuts, yogurt, and meats including fish, chicken, a little red meat and also some tofu. I also use Endura supplements to help with hydration and replenishing my energy stores after training and during competition races.
What do you normally eat and drink on a typical training day?
Lots of food for sustained energy and brown carbs. Cereal/bread for breakkie, muesli bars, fruit, nuts, Endura Energy Bars and I sip Raspberry Endura Rehydration throughout the day.
Where will we find you when you are not training or competing?
Beach, shopping, surfing, studying, working, hanging with friends and family.
What is your best training tip?
Make the most out of every session, whether it be physical or psychological. Some of the most important sessions can involve mental rehearsal, by making the training session realistic to your upcoming race or competition.
Who inspires you and why?
Melinda Gansford Taylor because she has suffered injuries and many difficult obstacles, but still managed to get back on the track and train her heart out.
