Favourite Endura product and why:
Chocolate Optimizer. I use plenty of Endura products, but I use Optimizer twice a day and enjoy the taste.
How did you get into your chosen sport?
When I was young, the boys at school were all keen on my older sister. To get her attention they would chase me around the playground. They never caught me.
How important is diet and sports nutrition supplements to your performance?
It is important. For me to train hard every day I need to recover fast. Protein recovery products help me do that.
What do you normally eat and drink on a typical training day?
I eat healthy and make sure I get enough protein, carbs and nutrients. I'm training twice a day so I'm also having plenty of Endura products - mainly Optimizer, Rehydration and Pro Body Bars.
Where will we find you when you are not training or competing?
Watching Fox Sports or reading the paper. I have a tight family, so also spending time with them.
What is your best training tip?
Find a coach that you trust and listen to them 100%.
Who inspires you and why?
I want to be like my Dad when I grow up. He is successful, a family man, funny and a friend.
How long would you normally spend training each week?
What is your favourite 'before race' meal?
An Endura Energy Bar.

How do you stay motivated with training?
Thinking about winning races.
The thing I love the most about being an athlete is...
What is a common mistake made in your sport?
Not going all in. Plenty of Australian athletes do the sport at 80% level and don't take it seriously enough.
Toughest experience in your career / What have you learnt from it?
Countless injuries that would have put other people into retirement. I've learnt that I love success and won't give up until I get it.
In five years time I will be...
28. I will have just won the 1500 m at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
What one or two things do you currently do in your training that are keys to your success?
I listen to my coach and think about the big picture.
